Privacy Policy

Tradeclaw Pty Ltd (ACN 703 643 896) (“Tradeclaw”, “we”, “us”) runs this website. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect right now

Tradeclaw has not launched. Before launch, the only personal information we collect is what you give us when you join the waitlist:

• your email address, trade and state;
• optionally, how you heard about us.

Our hosting provider also records basic technical information when you visit the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

Why we collect it

• to tell you when Tradeclaw launches and offer you founding-member pricing;
• to send you updates about the product, which you can opt out of at any time;
• to understand which trades and states are interested, so we build the right thing first;
• to keep the site secure and working.

We don't sell your personal information.

Where it's stored and who handles it

Waitlist information is stored in a database hosted in Sydney, Australia. We use service providers to run the site and send email, and some of them may process information outside Australia (including in the United States). We only share what each provider needs to do its job.

After launch

The Tradeclaw platform will handle more information, including account and payment details for members, search records, and public-register information about the businesses and people that members look up. We will update this policy before any of that starts.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@tradeclaw.com.au. If you have a privacy complaint, contact us at the same address and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
